Sweet Service Award goes to Discovery Insure; Sour Service Award goes to ADT!

The Sweet Service Award goes to Discovery Insure, for its amazing efficiency and generosity in sending an assessor to my house in Hermanus, which was badly damaged in the wind storm on 13 July, damaging two sliding doors as well as a bathroom window, at a repair cost of just over R40000. The assessor has been appointed by Discovery Insure to do the repair work. The invoice from a Hermanus builder to temporarily board up the damaged sections of the building was accepted by the company too, and is due to be paid out. What makes all of this so amazing is that I only switched to Discovery insure just short of three months ago.

The Sour Service Award goes to ADT, for its poor service in sending me a copy of the contract for the armed response security service provided to our apartment block. I spoke to a Roxanne, who sounded decidedly disinterested in my request,  and was rude in her interaction with me. When she had not sent the contract to me after a week, I called again, asking for her, but I was put through to three other persons in the company! Stephanie was fantastic, and sent the copy of the contract on the same day. On the day that I motivated the termination of the service to my fellow Trustees, we tested the service by pressing the panic button. Three days later and we still have not heard from them!
