The Sweet Service Award goes to Time Freight, and is nominated by Marilyn Levin. She wrote: ‘I would like to nominate Lizette Groenewald from the firm Time Freight for your Sweet Award. She went out of her way to help me with an article I purchased through Groupon and went well beyond the call of duty – tracing the cupboard and keeping me informed as to its whereabouts. What a pleasure dealing with such an accommodating lady!’
‘The Sour Service Award goes to Tour HQ and its tour operator owner Andre Brink, who was driving a Village & Life branded minibus (his brother Maree Brink owns the Bay Hotel and Village & Life) on Victoria Road in Camps Bay, driving into traffic of the oncoming lane as the MyCiTi Bus was blocking the lane he was using. He was rude and abusive, and demanded that I get out of the way, despite the fact that he was in the wrong lane! I left a message for Maree Brink at the Bay Hotel, to discus Andre’s poor driving habits, but three days later we are still waiting for his call!
