Panic appears to be setting in at the SA Butler Academy in reaction to Carte Blanche program and student legal action!

 

On 27 December 2020 Carte Blanche broadcast its program about the South African Butler Academy (SABA), featuring former student Lin Yang, who has taken on SABA to get her money refunded, and to prevent potential Butler students from being misled by SABA. I was interviewed too, having identified in 2013 already that the marketing of SABA is misleading its prospective students and their parents.

German ZDF TV ‘Das Traumschiff’ episode ‘Kapstadt’ is good and bad PR for Cape Town!

 

I looooove ‘Das Traumschiff’, a German TV series that has been broadcast regularly in the past 20 years or so, so I was doubly excited when our city  ‘Kapstadt’ was the focus of the Boxing Day 2020 edition of  this series.

The edition could not have come at a better time, when our city’s Tourism industry is sorely missing its German tourists, and the Germans are missing not being able to travel to our city. But a subplot of the Cape Town edition has some political sensitivities, not good for our country’s image and tourism future. Continue reading →

#Grateful for a cooler day, at 23C; for being relaxed, despite having to do some writing work for my client; for having Carmen assist in the litter clean up today, when Imtiaz was sent home, not feeling well after yesterday’s busy day; for there being fewer picnickers in Camps Bay today, but the litter did escalate by late this afternoon; for some first lovely compliments about the Carte Blanche investigative report into the SA Butler Academy, even though I have not seen it myself, not subscribing to DSTV ❤️; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Grateful for a warm sunny day without a breath of wind, although we wish for these on the busy Camps Bay days; for my hardworking Cleaning Team of Imtiaz and Carmen, who experienced their busiest day of cleaning since staring about three weeks ago; for a Vit D snooze on the terrace; for very hard work in cleaning up litter this afternoon, until the very last minute at 18h30, when the Team finishes working on weekends, all of us exhausted, and putting in a good number of steps; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
