Tuesday 6 April 2021, Day 37 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a most beautiful day after the fierce wind last night, at 25C; for a 9 hour sleep, feeling very relaxed; for a busy writing morning; for a powerful Cardio walk to Bakoven and then to The 41 Restaurant in Camps Bay to meet new Facebook friend Charlene Shapiro for tea, and we have a lot in common, such a surprise that she is from my neighbouring town Paarl as well; for a lovely sunset; for gratitude to Brian van Hansen for creating a collage for me for one of my clients 💙; for a refreshing walk back home, happy that I scored 300 Discovery points today, and two more days to go until I achieve a significant Discovery goal; and for being happy and healthy. Friday 25 December 2020, Christmas Day, Day 96 of Level 1, Day 275 of Lockdown. 😷🎄⭐️

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely relaxed day; for it not being too hot, yet a bit humid; for a refreshing walk through Camps Bay this morning, wishing everyone for Christmas as I walked past them; for a fruit shop at Pick n Pay, not busy at that time; for a lovely deep sleep this afternoon; for a Camps Bay clean up this afternoon with Imtiaz, who seemed drained after working alone for two days, having good conversations with him; for Cape Town being the city featured in ‘Das Traumschiff’ on German ZDF TV today; for my Christmas collage created by Brian Van Hansen being included in my Canadian Tour Operator’s Christmas greeting collage with those of the other Committee members, mine at the top left; and for being happy and healthy. Tuesday 22 December 2020, Day 93 of Level 1, Day 272 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a most beautiful day at close to 30C, with very little wind this afternoon even though the mountains were shrouded in clouds; for an early trip to the Waterfront, where Brian Van Hansen took some pics after he’d finished playing the piano for breakfast at The Table Bay Hotel, which I needed for my Tour Guiding Operator in Canada; for Brian accompanying me in running through the Waterfront, doing last minute shopping and chores before Christmas; for the Waterfront having a Covid Marshall, addressing people not wearing their masks; for getting my car wheel pressure indicator reset, still not being able to do it after 5 years, Hennie Kriel having spoilt me at Audi; for spoiling myself with a Dairy Den ice cream; for a walk through a reasonably busy Camps Bay; for a special call with Barbara Lenhard, not having spoken since she and Florian returned to Germany 8 months ago, and hoping to fly to Cape Town tomorrow evening; for having dinner at Utopia with Vivian Warby this evening; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
