Corona Virus Lockdown: Restaurant deliveries by third party partners like Uber Eats getting the cold shoulder locally and internationally!

 

Since the world went into Lockdown, restaurants that were allowed to offer Take-Away food delivery to customer homes have increasingly used Third Party Delivery companies. Uber Eats probably is the world’s largest Food Delivery Company, having added this service a few years ago to its standard driver service. In our country it competes alongside MrD, a company belonging to TakeaLot, masters in e-commerce home delivery. Yet, during Lockdown the tide is turning, one reading an increasing number of warnings against third party delivery services, restaurant patrons being encouraged to order food from restaurants which use their own staff to deliver, locally and internationally. Corona Virus Lockdown Level 4: New Government-allowed businesses to reopen, with some ridiculous regulations!

 

The Government is easing the restrictions of the economy, slowly but surely, and gazetted the opening up of three further industries two days ago, with immediate effect: Car sales, Winter clothing, and small businesses. Discovery changes its Vitality member incentive and reward system once again, adds new reward partners, raises the bar!

Whilst Discovery Vitality is the most motivating system to stay healthy that I have ever experienced, it is most frustrating that it changes its rewarding of members for staying healthy ever so often. On Saturday 11 January the Discovery Vitality system changes radically again, now awarding Discovery Miles and no longer Vitality points, and demanding more effort for the same rewards.
