BusinessTech has reported that Domestic travellers will no longer have to undergo a health check, complete a health questionnaire, nor present a travel permit as of today.

In an interview with EWN, and reported by Business Tech, Tourism Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane said that she ‘hopes’ that our country’s borders will be reopened to all foreign tourists before the holiday period commences in December. This speculation by the Minister comes against a background of a dramatic Second Wave spike in Covid-19 infections in many European countries, the UK, and the USA, which is expected to worsen as they face winter. The future of Tourism in our country under the Corona Virus Lockdown has been up in the sky, so to speak, intra-provincial Domestic Travel just having been opened up. No further information has been available about inter-provincial travel, nor about International Travel until now, with a Tourism Recovery Plan just having been released by the Department of Tourism.
