Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a smooth flowing day, despite it being an upside down one, feeling like a Friday already; for my Discovery medical package change made by Maki Chase today; for meeting one of my Camps Bay Ratepayers Association colleagues at the Promenade, buying an HTH floater at Pick n Pay, and a bib at Camps Bay Hardware (organised via owner Jared Stein on holiday in Mauritius) for my new Gift cleaning helper, starting on Saturday; for spoiling myself with a light breakfast (not the best scrambled egg I’ve had) at The Pottery, but Manager Shaun being very helpful, bringing me a charger for my phone, showing me how they glaze Pottery and fire it in their kiln, for showing me the jewelry Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a good productive working day, working from home all day, moving two meetings to tomorrow; for a walk to Woolworths, and enjoying the Tidal Pool for a while; for Gary Peterson coming for Abendbrot, with a lovely sunset, Lions Head having a hat of clouds, and Earl Grey entertaining us in charging up the strelizia plant, something I’ve never seen him do before, obviously good for claw sharpening; for Gary decorating our supper table so beautifully with the pink bougainvillea placed inside the serviettes; for a walk to the Theatre on the Bay, where we saw the

Cape Town Community roleplayers recognised with 2021 Mayoral Civic Awards!

 

In a City of Cape Town Subcouncil 16 Awards Ceremony held on Monday three Camps Bay residents were awarded Mayor’s Civic Awards ‘in recognition of dedicated and generous service to the community in Good Hope Subcouncil (16). Your commitment to service delivery is hereby acknowledged with gratitude’.

In total 14 residents received Civic Awards. I am extremely grateful to be one of the Award recipients.

#grateful for a continuous 8 hour sleep, a luxury I haven’t had in ages, feeling energized for what I knew was going to be a busy day; for a sunny day with a mild South-Easter; for work work work work work, Mondays always being busier and closing times having to be changed on all our platforms when we go into a new Lockdown Level; for a maintenance contractor coming to quote on a balustrade at the apartment, something I have begged Sandak Lewin to do for the past 2 years, the contractor sounding very knowledgeable, so much Continue reading →
