#grateful for a hardworking day, feeling cross-eyed from all the writing; for a cooler and cloudy day, a massive cold front hitting us tomorrow and then on Friday again, with a chance of snow; for a lunchtime walk break in Bakoven and a late afternoon one to the Tidal Pool; and for being happy, healthy, and free. #Grateful for a fabulous day, the warmest this summer at 26C, and up to 30C in town; for the fire at the foot of Table Mountain being extinguished this morning; for a walk up to Clifton 4th Beach, Victoria Road between Clifton and Camps Bay fully parked by Beachgoers; for a catch-up get-together with Vivian Warby at Bootleggers Bakoven, keeping it healthy with pressed fruit and vegetable juices; for missing the worst of the traffic when popping in to town, at Utopia and Peppertree Café; for a VitD snooze on the terrace; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Grateful for another beautiful day, but cooler at 18C; for a busy writing day, writing two stories; for celebrating KitKat being with me for 6 months already, my Easter ‘present’, giving me so much love and joy, just like his ‘sister’ Minsky 😻😻; for harvesting some carrots from the garden; for a longer walk, up to Clifton 4th Beach, sadly with lots of litter alongside Glen Beach and Maidens Cove, being well rewarded by Discovery in Miles, being very close to getting back to Gold status for the third year running; for dancing to Kfm 💃;and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Grateful for a Roadtrip with Jenny Stephens, our first escape from Cape Town since Lockdown started, and a mini reunion of our Matric class of 50 years ago, five of us knowing each other since Sub A in Wellington, 62 years ago ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️; for a Breakfast spoil with our hosts Jeanette and John Duckitt; for Elaine Wegelin and Bev Bestbier joining us for tea, catching up on the past year since we last saw each other; for an informative drive and walk through the Waylands Wildflower Reserve outside Darling, boasting wild flowers of many varieties and even a mole snake, John telling us all the botanical names, such beauty growing wild; for a spoil lunch together, going back into our past, with lots of laughter; for meeting Chef and Restaurateur Benitha Nel of Peaberry Café in Malmesbury, returning to Cape Town from there, a fabulous trip on the N7; for being happy to see my cats again, having been very well-behaved; for two Discovery Gameboard plays, winning 325 Miles; for calls with Jenny and Jeanette; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
