Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a fabulous day, the warmest this summer at 26C, and up to 30C in town; for the fire at the foot of Table Mountain being extinguished this morning; for a walk up to Clifton 4th Beach, Victoria Road between Clifton and Camps Bay fully parked by Beachgoers; for a catch-up get-together with Vivian Warby at Bootleggers Bakoven, keeping it healthy with pressed fruit and vegetable juices; for missing the worst of the traffic when popping in to town, at Utopia and Peppertree Café; for a VitD snooze on the terrace; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
At Clifton 4th Beach a car hit a fence on Victoria Road, probably yesterday. The City of Cape Town has already set up yellow safety barriers.
At Utopia the diners were enjoying listening to the Kim & Didi Jazz Duo, performing there at every Sunday Lunch. The performers are both Capetonians, usually performing on cruiseliners, now landlocked due to the COVID Lockdown.
I hadn’t been to Peppertree Café in a while, and went to check if the mince pies 🎄 have arrived already, there’s being delicious. No luck yet, but they did have Lemon Chiffon cake. 😊
The traffic through Camps Bay is hectic. I hope the litter is not too bad, leaving the cleaning to tomorrow morning. 😱
No points for this weekends walking… ? Seem to have reached the limit of all my point events 😱

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
