Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a hot day at 27C, and forecast to be even hotter tomorrow; for a short writing working day, having done most of the preparation last night; for getting my car serviced at Audi Century City, the Service Manager Hennie Kriel looking after my baby and replacing the battery, the Maintenance Plan running out later this month; for a Canal Walk shopping morning while I waited for my car, Hennie driving me across to the Centre and fetching me; for a walk to Camps Bay to buy some Kitten wet food at Pick n Pay; for a catch up call with my Alex, hearing his exciting business plans; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

New Tiger’s Milk Restaurant & Bar Splendido on Kloof Street splendid success! New Friday venue for DJ René music and dancing!

In less than a week after opening its newest Tiger’s Milk Restaurant & Bar on Kloof Street in Cape Town, the restaurant is operating smoothly, as if it has always been there. It is already busy, attracting custom with little marketing effort to date by the Harbour House Group. A hugely exciting attraction is that DJ René Tanguy will be playing at the newest Tiger’s Milk on Fridays, starting this week. It is the 26th Harbour House Group restaurant to open. July has seen the opening of new restaurants Burger & Lobster, Unframed Ice Cream, ASH, and more, despite it still being the middle of winter. Shock news is that long-established Kitima is closing next week (see Postscript). A number of other restaurants have closed.

Harbour House Group opens first Easy Tiger Burger Bar, outlets outside Cape Town planned!

Today I was invited by Harbour House Group owner Michael Townsend to try their first new Easy Burger Bar, which opened on Bree Street two weeks ago, in the space that was previously Lucky Fish. The lunch served as an update of the latest developments in his restaurant group.
