Tuesday 22 December 2020, Day 93 of Level 1, Day 272 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a most beautiful day at close to 30C, with very little wind this afternoon even though the mountains were shrouded in clouds; for an early trip to the Waterfront, where Brian Van Hansen took some pics after he’d finished playing the piano for breakfast at The Table Bay Hotel, which I needed for my Tour Guiding Operator in Canada; for Brian accompanying me in running through the Waterfront, doing last minute shopping and chores before Christmas; for the Waterfront having a Covid Marshall, addressing people not wearing their masks; for getting my car wheel pressure indicator reset, still not being able to do it after 5 years, Hennie Kriel having spoilt me at Audi; for spoiling myself with a Dairy Den ice cream; for a walk through a reasonably busy Camps Bay; for a special call with Barbara Lenhard, not having spoken since she and Florian returned to Germany 8 months ago, and hoping to fly to Cape Town tomorrow evening; for having dinner at Utopia with Vivian Warby this evening; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for good rain overnight; for a far cooler day, almost back to winter, at 16C; for a walk to Bakoven in the morning, and to Woolworths in the afternoon, seeing the first Starbucks store branding next to the Pick n Pay; for bumping into Andy Jo, one of two German swallow couples who have just returned to Camps Bay, just before our country was closed down to Germany, and Germany goes into a second Lockdown from Monday; for a first client status meeting, so excited about all the news opportunities lying ahead; for a good shopping experience at the newish Pick n Pay on Strand Street; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another sunny day, but a little cooler at 19C; for another lucky day this week; for a busy writing day, only finishing my Blogpost this afternoon, exceeding 2000 words; for a midday breakfast with friend Jenny Stephens at Firefly Café, and returning the borrowed potato peeler to Tindlovu; for a second walk, to Bakoven, extending the walk further than usual, past the last block of apartments, where someone told me that a fence is badly broken, looking like the result of a car accident; for being spoilt with a massive Christmas-come-early delivery from Mynhardt Restaurant in Paarl ; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
