Sweet Service Award goes to Sandak Lewin; Sour Service Award goes to Clicks Sea Point!

The Sweet Service Award goes to Sandak Lewin, and its Portfolio Manager Vanessa Sillifant, for the fantastic service she is offering us as Trustees at EbbTide in Camps Bay. After two disastrous years of dealing with her predecessor Greg Anderson, who was inefficient, biased towards the other Trustees,  and grossly unprofessional, Vanessa was appointed to take over and has been a breath of fresh air.  She visited our building within three weeks of taking over our building, something Anderson had refused to do in his two years of dealing with our building! In the past three months she has efficiently assisted us in getting eleven maintenance projects done and dusted, and prevented an excessive R1 million Maintenance project from being implemented, which would have resulted in an exorbitant Special Levy! She is a no-nonsense person, fair, and decisive, and has created greater harmony amongst the four Trustees of our building in getting maintenance jobs done and decisions made, an amazing feat! The next project will be to tackle the Noise Disturbance issues…….! Continue reading →

#gratitude for a lovely 22C day; for a very hardworking day, finishing the hotel newsletter, having to rewrite parts due to the latest developments in the Tourism industry; for preparing for the Camps Bay Ratepayers Association AGM this evening; for my first Status meeting with new client Ian Halfon, co-owner of Gibson’s Gourmet Burgers and Ribs (in the Waterfront and now also as a Summer pop-up Food Truck in Camps Bay), amazed and delighted at how quickly they are reacting to my suggestions and recommendations 👏; for the Ratepayer’s Association AGM by Zoom, Continue reading →

Friday 26 November 2021, Day 57 of Level 1, #BlackFriday 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a day of extreme contrasts, waking up to the dreadful news of the UK putting us back on the Red List, with the rest of the world (or so it seems) banning flights from our country, the UK, Germany, and the USA bans hitting our tourism industry particularly hard, my clients and tourism players devastated today, but we’ve been through tough times before and we will survive; for a wonderful 7 hour continuous sleep, and then firing away with the work which needed to be done this morning; for the rain holding off when I was in town to attend a Brand talk hosted by Tania Olivier, meeting such lovely marketing girls sitting next to me, exchanging restaurant news, especially about Continue reading →
