Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a stunning 30C day today, after four days of wind, the beaches in Camps Bay being jam-packed with happy swimmers and picnickers; for an amazing start to the day; for the City of Cape Town taking a first tiny step to fix the broken fence, and for removing the flattened pedestrian sign at Bali Bay 🙏; for a lovely lunch to which I was invited by Dale Kushner at the offices of film company AFS Productions on Kloof Street; for being able to leave my car parked at their offices and being able to explore the bottom end of Kloof Steeet, for a second (late afternoon) walk to the Tidal Pool, seeing a luxury bus with EFF supporters shouting out of the windows and blowing their vuvuzelas, being transported back to Hout Bay from Brackenfell đŸ˜±; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

*   The City of Cape Town has approved the sale of a piece of land called ‘Clifton Precinct‘, currently housing garages used by bungalow owners, a restaurant, and sport grounds, despite resistance from Clifton residents. The City is calling for a bidder to build a parking garage, a retail outlet, and ‘boutique line shops’! Opposition parties in the City Council are also up in arms about the proposed sale.

*   The arrogance of the Department of Home Affairs knows no bounds in terms of its Immigration Regulations, it Continue reading →
