Corona Gratitude đ
#Grateful for a sunny 16C day, lifting the spirits, before more rain arrives tomorrow âď¸; for a quick Blogpost write followed by a Camps Bay walk; for a trip down south, buying plants, dropping off pearl bracelets at Caroline Smith in Claremont, needing restringing, meeting her for the first time, and driving to Kenilworth to see Fat Harryâs renovation, due to reopen in October under new ownership; for popping in at Flower CafĂŠ at Petals in Woodstock; for a walk through Bakoven, bumping into my Lauren and my nephew Nick Solomon â¤ď¸, staying in Cape Town while the hotel of which he is the GM in the Seychelles is still closed to tourism; and for being happy and healthy. On Facebook I saw an article that attracted my interest and attention, being a proud litter cleaner in Camps Bay, about Pick n Pay trialing the use of paper bags in its fruit and vegetable departments, and selling these items loose and not pre-packaged, in 13 of its stores around the country. 
A year ago I was introduced to the Rare Grill in Kenilworth, after it was named Best Steakhouse in the country in the Wolftrap Steakhouse Championship, as well as Eat Out Best Steakhouse in the Cape in its Everyday Eateries awards, the latter accolade repeated this year. On Saturday evening I spontaneously popped in at the steakhouse, and found its service and steak to be as good as a year ago, and its desserts even better!
