Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely day, the South Easter having picked up, and forecast to be with us for the whole long weekend, with rising temperatures; for Minsky coming back home after another night out, scary as it was 8h00 this morning, her latest return; for a lighter load of work today; for Balele my new cleaner coming to work punctually, the two of us doing a thorough litter clean up between my place and Clifton, a long walk of three and a half hours; for a lovely long sleep late this afternoon; for receiving an email from Discovery Insure to say that as I am on Diamond Status for my car insurance, my premium will not increase for the next year 💙; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏 Continue reading →

Saturday 13 March 2021, Day 13 of Level 1, Day 353 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely day, the weather being cooler in the morning but warming up to 22 C this afternoon, and it drizzling now, with two days of rain to come; for taking care of the ‘baby’ Smart of Barbara Lenhard and Flo Gast in my garage; for a snooze; for an energetic walk up to the Camps Bay Primary Symmonds Sport Field above Camps Bay Drive, where I had been alerted to lots of litter and overflowing green bins, my community duty rewarding me 300 Discovery points in walking uphill to get there; for the contribution to my cleaning action from Bronwyn Keene-Young, volunteered by a local resident, becoming a promised monthly support 💙; for seeing George Sax for a short while at Utopia; for a lovely evening at Anatoli Mediterranean Restaurant, going there to take some more food and belly dancing photographs, and bumping into long last seen friend Jürgen Müss of Karoo Biking who came to eat there; for receiving R200 cash back from Discovery Insure for my low distance driving and good driving behavior 💙; and for being happy and healthy. Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely day, with lots of clouds creating beautiful ‘pictures’; for getting my work done easily this morning; for meeting Banele, for a trial cleaning walk, spending 2 1/2 hours on the road, so happy to do a deep litter clean with him; for a wonderful deep sleep this afternoon, in a week in which I have not slept enough on
most nights; for the fabulous news that Out of the Blue ladies’ clothing retail outlets has appointed me to handle its Communications 💙; for receiving wonderful coverage for Utopia from Cape Town Etc, the owners of the publication investing in the restaurant industry by publicizing it 👏👏👏; for a walk to Bakoven, spoilt with the most beautiful sunset; for being offered a donation for my Camps Bay Clean from a resident 💙; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
