Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely warm bed on a chilly evening last night; for a day of four seasons, starting with a lovely shower ☔️, being cloudy, and an afternoon of wonderful sunshine; for lovely morning music on Smile FM, especially the 6-in-row of the Rautenbach family, and Kfm this afternoon, getting to my step goal 🎶👣; for having wonderful Llewellyn Lambert helping me to fix a problem on my Blog; for Kfm announcing that it will play ‘South African Royalty’ every evening from 22h00 – 24h00, dedicated to local music, to help local musicians earn royalties Martin Myers; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Friday 3 April 2020, Day 19 of SA Corona Virus, Day 8 of SA Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for an even hotter day today, at 29C, before the temperature reverse begins tomorrow; for having such a fabulous roof over my head, with an amazing view, changing daily; for speaking to long-time friend Donoven Hammond Gloy in Maritzburg; for being able to essentials-shop today; for the fabulous service at our local Woolworths; for sleeping late after posting my Blogposts; for being able to dance and walk to Kfm, and to hear that DJ Carl Wastie and Zoe Brown retain their 4 hour slot, whilst other Kfm DJs’ slots have been reduced during Lockdown; for such lovely warm evenings, being able to have dinner by candlelight on my terrace; and for being fit and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Gratitude for another beautiful 26C day; for a good dose of Vitamin D on my terrace today, boosting my immune system; for the news that the City is moving the refugees from the Methodist Church to Bellville; that there will be two DJs entertaining us 💃💃💃 on #FirstThursday this evening, from 18h00; that we will have a front-line medical and security staff drive-by in Clifton and Camps Bay this evening; that my heart is loving Lickdown; and that we have managed seven days of Lockdown, one third done, and that I can celebrate it with a beer. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Tuesday 31 March 2020, Day 16 of SA Corona Virus, Day 5 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another beautiful but slightly cooler and cloudy day; for the friendly locals walking past, chatting across the road, even if we haven’t met each other, such a lovely community spirit; for my new ‘gym’ I ‘created’ in our building; for the steady drop in my Resting Heart Rate; for meeting my step goal today; for being more active this past week than the week before; for the reception of Kfm being back to normal, after two days of interrupted broadcasting due to the damaged undersea internet cable, and its wonderful dancing music 💃, especially the last hour of ‘Dinsdag Dansdag’, with fabulous dancing tunes; for DJ Dino Ben Tovim playing for us from his home; for a long catch-up chat with Alex’s Jamie Hoyland, Alex being so busy at work; for the petrol price coming down by almost R2 a liter at midnight; for the R218 money-back I received from Discovery Vitality; and for happily having spent five days in ‘confinement’ already. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
