Corona Gratitude đ
#Grateful for a beautiful 26 C day, without a breath of wind; for receiving greater clarity about which businesses are allowed to operate, and which new restrictions lie ahead for us from 1 May; that outside exercise is allowed from next Friday; that I could do a shopping trip by car, only the second one in a month, with excellent service; for a lovely sunny Vit D snooze on the terrace this afternoon; for feeling good after a hair wash and wearing a dress for the shopping outing đ; for dancing to Kfm; for feeling happy for the restaurant industry in being allowed to do Take-Away deliveries; and for feeling healthy and happy. đđ Continue reading →
The Sweet Service Award goes to the community grocer Olive Branch Deli, and its brother-and-sister owners Omeros and Heléne Demetriou for the pleasure they make it to shop at their Deli during Lockdown in particular, with lovely upbeat New York-style music, very friendly interaction, and even going to Woolworths next door for me in the Wellness on Kloof centre when I was telephonically enquiring about maize kernels to make popcorn from.

On Friday I needed to travel to Hermanus, and stopped at Terra Madre in Elgin, being overwhelmed by the energy of owner Chef Nicole Precoudis, and her organic-style home-prepared produce, which can be purchased on their farm, online, as well as at an increasing number of outlets in Cape Town, or one can have it delivered weekly to oneâs home. Terra Madre is true to its promise of âHandcrafted with Loveâ.
