Zest Restaurant introduces Spring Menu : 5 courses at R198!

Newly opened Zest Restaurant has introduced a value-for-money Spring Menu consisting of five courses, and costing only R198. It is available until 30 September.

Zest is an Asian-Mediterranean fusion restaurant which cooks its meat, fish, and vegetables on an open fire grill. The Kameeldoring wood used for the fire adds a special aroma to the foods cooked on it.

He believes in Less is More, with only a few ingredients in each dish, and he does not use smears, foams, or gels in his plating. Local and Fresh is Best is the Zest mantra. Continue reading →

#Gratitude for a very early start to the day, after Loadshedding last night, still being wide awake, and getting some of my work done already; for surviving on little sleep today; for a quick walk at lunchtime; for being well-prepared for my long meeting afternoon at the New Kings Hotel in the Piazza da Luz, my first day on the Communications job; for a quick shop at Woolies Piazza da Luz; for a Bakoven walk at sunset, catching a huge splash pic; for the fabulous service once a month from Mike at BP President, checking and cleaning everything for me; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Utopia Restaurant towers above all other restaurants in Cape Town, excellent elevated dining!

In my mind the Silo Hotel in the Waterfront was Cape Town highest restaurant and bar, although more bar on the 11th floor and restaurant on the 6th floor. A year ago that record was broken by Utopia when it opened as an Upmarket Bistro, in the Mirage building in De Waterkant, on the 15th floor, offering dining with a 360 degree view of the Mother City.

I was invited to try the 120-seater restaurant, which is a member of my Lockdown Sit-Down, Deliveries and Collection Facebook Group, for Lunch on Saturday, experiencing its Elevated Dining Restaurant and Bar.
