Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

Grateful for a storm day with rain and sun, rain and sun; for a peaceful sleep; for first reaction to my Door Lock moves, the Fire inspector making a first visit; for two Discovery Gameboard plays; for a busy working day; for a walk to the Camps Bay Hardware store, rewarded with a short-lived rainbow; for being warm on such a cold day, the cats even preferring to be inside ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป; and for being happy, healthy, and free. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Thursday 6 May 2021, Day 67 of Level 1 ๐Ÿ˜ท

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a successful day; for getting up early to finish all my work so that I could squeeze in a power walk up 100 Houghton Steps, and coming down my secret Bakoven lanes with a total of 100 steps, being protected against the very strong Southeaster, receiving 300 Discovery points; for my Dinkel poppyseed rolls being ready for me; for an interesting meeting at Origin Roasting, drinking a lovely Nigiro Earl Grey Bloom tea; for a good Utopia Status meeting with Dilmah Earl Grey tea, crowned by a rainbow; for a quick pop in at Grand Pavilion, but the owner wasnโ€™t there; for a cosy soup-in-bed evening; for Kfm playing great music to finish my steps for today; and for being happy, healthy and free. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for my warm bed on this very cold evening, and having my cat kids on the bed with me; for the sunshine day, making the 13C day feel warm in the sun when I went for a combined walk in Bakoven and Camps Bay, saying hi to the Bootlegger manager, with a catch up chat; for a day of laughter and eating with Jennifer Morris and her David, at Peppertree Cafรฉ this morning and at Mozambik this evening; for such beautiful quietness in my building ๐Ÿ™; for being calm and relaxed; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Tuesday 4 August 2020, Day 65 of Level 3, after 66 days of Levels 5 and 4. ๐Ÿ˜ท

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for the rain which fell on and off today, lapped up by the vegetable and flower garden, catching me unawares when I did a quick walk to Maison J to get croissants ๐Ÿฅ, getting sopping wet but it was worth every drop in gifting Camps Bay with a beautiful rainbow ๐ŸŒˆ over Bali Bay; for Stuart Bailey coming to try to help me on his laptop with my Amazon job application; for the walk through the city centre, rediscovering it as a Tourist Guide, barely recognizing it, it being so quiet and so many business doors closed; for a indulgent Hot Chocolate at Honest Chocolate, nice and warm inside on this very cold 14C day; for collecting my tourist Guide card from the Western Cape Dept of Economic Affairs & Tourism on St Georgeโ€™s Mall, hardly recognizable without any stalls, looking like a European city pedestrian lane without any pedestrians ๐Ÿ˜ฑ; for celebrating the two month battle of becoming officially registered as a Tourist Guide with an excellent lunch at Villa 47; for doing the Discovery Health Check at Clicks Glengariff Road ๐Ÿ˜ฑ; for the assistance by Johan Prins and Bradley Moore to try to get the Amazon application completed; for getting into my warm bed already; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →
