Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a quiet and peaceful me-day, being proactive in writing three Blogposts for the week ahead, as well as an afternoon nap; for the fabulous peace and quiet in our building, with only one tenant left; for missing out on Loadshedding tonight, and planning around that for the next two days; for a lovely refreshing two hour walk, up the 100 Houghton Steps, fetching the two McWilliam brothers who are helping me clean up Camps Bay for their Rondebosch Boys High Community Service project, finding litter in bushes left by homeless persons; and for being happy, healthy, and free 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely Mother’s Day, receiving a call from a cheerful and happy Alex, full of the joys of the English spring ❤️❤️❤️; for sharing in the celebration of the day at Utopia, taking photographs, so special to have 2 tables with three generations in the restaurant, that it was fully booked for Lunch today, and so sweet that each of the waiters wished me Happy Mother’s Day too; for celebrating my Mother’s Day with an ice cream spoil at The Dairy Den in Sea Point; for a lovely Sunday afternoon sleep on a cool afternoon; for being able to get out of bed to do a litter clean up in three hotspots with the McWilliam brothers, who helped me last week as well; and for being happy, healthy, and free. Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a very relaxed catch-up with myself Sunday; for it being surprisingly hot today, at 27C; for a power walk through my secret Bakoven lanes, scoring 300 Discovery points, feeling good in making up for zero points 😱 yesterday; for finishing off the litter hotspot of yesterday, filling a garbage bag with all the cardboard boxes that had remained; for having two Camps Bay brothers Ben and Troy McWilliam assist me in cleaning up litter at the Tidal Pool, doing this for their Rondebosch High school community project, lovely to see them so eager, and the luck that there were fewer picnickers and hence less litter, despite the heat; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
