Corona Gratitude đ
#Grateful for a lovely Motherâs Day, receiving a call from a cheerful and happy Alex, full of the joys of the English spring â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸; for sharing in the celebration of the day at Utopia, taking photographs, so special to have 2 tables with three generations in the restaurant, that it was fully booked for Lunch today, and so sweet that each of the waiters wished me Happy Motherâs Day too; for celebrating my Motherâs Day with an ice cream spoil at The Dairy Den in Sea Point; for a lovely Sunday afternoon sleep on a cool afternoon; for being able to get out of bed to do a litter clean up in three hotspots with the McWilliam brothers, who helped me last week as well; and for being happy, healthy, and free.
So happy for my nephew Nick Solomon that he and his Lauren got married last week. Ulrike Payne
German swallow Shubha Shukla spoilt me with a Motherâs Day gift of a massive loaf of Woodstock Bakery Sourdough Bread, enjoying the challenge of walking to their house off Geneva Drive.
We cleaned up at the steps linking First Crescent and Camps Bay Drive; in a bush at the bottom of First Crescent, in which a homeless person lived; and outside a deserted house on Houghton Road, with piles of litter. So lovely to chat to these Rondebosch Boys High boys.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, Â extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
