#grateful for a beautiful 19C sunny day and even better weather lying ahead for this weekend ; for an early start to the day, getting all my work finished by 9h30; for a lovely breakfast with Gary Peterson at Zest Restaurant, thoroughly spoilt by our waitron Josie Milner, and looked after by Manager Micaela Luke; for a good meeting to go through the newkings hotel newsletter copy, due to be sent out next week; for my second vaccination 💉, going to Somerset Hospital instead of to CTICC, where I was booked, meeting a lovely Camps Continue reading →

On our recent trip to Plettenberg Bay, my friend from Paris and I tried to visit as many of the better restaurants in the town as we could fit in. Given the disappointing visits to SeaFood/Sand at The Plettenberg in the past five years, it was not on my list of restaurants to eat at, but as it was on my friend’s list, I obliged, holding thumbs that things have improved! Sadly the service and food left much to be desired, despite it being under the guardianship of Eat Out Top 10 Group Executive Chef Peter Tempelhoff! 
Today Italian-inspired Col’Cacchio pizzerias celebrates the 24th anniversary of opening its first branch on the Foreshore in Cape Town, and announced yesterday that it is celebrating with a new Summer Menu and a new Celebrity Chef Series of pizzas.
