SA Butler Academy and Guild Recruitment continues its revenge action with racism allegations!

An interaction outside my EbbTide apartment block between an Uber driver and I, which was in part videoed by the driver without my permission, is circulating around Cape Town.

The SA Butler Academy, and its sister company Guild Recruitment, is circulating the video about this interaction, to businesses in Camps Bay and to the media, in an attempt to discredit me. Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 40 of Level 3 Adjusted, 4 February 2021.

Thursday 4 February 2021, First Thursday, Day 40 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 316 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a fabulous day that just got better and better, ending off on a high note; for a lovely warm day with little wind, although the mountains were covered in clouds; for a brisk walk to Clifton, earning 300 Discovery points, being less stressed about mask-wearing as there were fewer walkers about; for a longer than planned Skype meeting with a representative of my Canadian Tour Guiding company based in India, talking about the company’s marketing and Social Media, which I will assist them with, and writing Cape Town content too; for my two poppy seed rolls waiting for me at Dinkel Bakery; for being healthy enough to donate blood; for a good status meeting with my client over lunch, I having a healthy delicious Caprese Salad; for a long-overdue session with my podiatrist; for popping in at the WCafé at Woolies in Sea Point for a juice; for being spoilt when I went to see George Sax at the new Kloof Street Hotel; for being thoroughly spoilt by Gary Peterson and Thomas, as well as by the new ëlgr, the restaurant with the most difficult name in Cape Town, meaning ‘moose’; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

While this is extremely flattering to me as the owner and editor of the Blog, it is downright illegal, constituting plagiarism, and is downright unprofessional! Continue reading →

Last week I was invited by German visitors to join them for dinner, and of the three options I provided, they chose Gold Restaurant in Green Point. It was my first dinner at Gold since the restaurant had moved from Strand Street, its previous home. It was a noisy evening, a part I had forgotten about and not mentioned to the visitors by me, and the food offering as well as service made me reconsider whether I would recommend it to guests, having done so once before, with good feedback then.
