Sunday 9 August 2020, Day 70 of Level 3, after 66 days at Levels 5 and 4. 😷 Women’s Day

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for all the glorious rain that has fallen since last night, with a happy garden, and it not being too chilly; for two walking gaps in between the rain, allowing me a Camps Bay walk and a Woolies shop on the way at lunchtime, and an afternoon one in Bakoven with slight drizzle; for the amazing kindness of receiving a bunch of roses from Woolies Manager Gary Arendse for Women’s Day, so spoilt with this branch so close by; for being so inspired by all the stories of the women restaurant owners in the Cape, posted here as well as in the Facebook Group; for surviving a dreadful attack in a Camps Bay Facebook Group; for a rainy day afternoon snooze; for dancing the balance of my steps to Kfm; for a Discovery Cashback for my healthy Woolies food purchases; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Grateful for a slightly warmer day at 15C and it being sunny, although there was a very dark cloud overhead this afternoon, with a few drops of rain; for a busy morning, with a building consultant coming to check out our apartment building, and finding all sorts of waterproofing issues; for catching up on work; for getting an idea for a story for Women’s Day, profiling Women Restaurateurs, surprised at how few there are 😱; for meeting Facebook Friends John French and Alan Hoffman, recognizing me from Facebook, complimenting me on being the best-dressed Camps Bay Cleaning Lady, wearing pearls 😂; for Jenny Stephens coming to tea and a Chocolate Swirl cheese cake taste test…. mmmm ; for dancing to Kfm 💃; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
