Corona Gratitude šŸ™

#grateful for an unusual day, starting with the fabulous inclusion of Zest onto The Inside Guide Hottest 30 new restaurants list; for allowing myself to take the afternoon off so that Annette Krueck and I could see the Bond ā€˜No Time to Die’ movie at the Labia Cinema, a two and a half hour long movie with lots of skop, skiet and donder as is expected of a Bond movie; for fetching my poppyseed rolls at Dinkel Bakery, and my German cold meat treats at Hartlief (they have the best droĆ«wors too); for a delicious Tasting Menu dinner paired with five wines at Utopia, it being full with a buzz, meeting the lovely Leigh Elvidge celebrating a special birthday, and GM Russell Zieff on the floor regularly to check on all the happy diners; for a Bakoven walk; for getting all my work done this morning; for the fabulous news that SA comes off the UK Red List on Monday, a goosebump moment when I saw it by chance during our dinner, and an even greater one when my Alex messaged to ask if he and his partner can come to visit in January ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø; and for being happy, healthy, and free.

My Blogpost today was about the new Meat/Seafood, Vegetarian and Vegan Tasting Menus of Utopia, at R245 each, or R380 with the wine pairing per course. I did a mix match Meat/Vegetarian and pairing meal.

Utopia Cape Town launches new Tasting Menu, with Vegetarian and Vegan options too!

When I got home I had to sit down and write the good news UK Red List story.

UK removes South Africa from its Red List, with 46 other countries, opens the door to SA Tourism

My steps were severely cut short today, with all the sitting I did today, and my FitBit battery was running so low that it didn’t read my Bakoven walk. 😱😱😱

PS. I won’t comment on the movie, except that Annette and I both felt it had an exciting start and finish and a drawn out middle section. Anyone seeing it at the Labia should wear winter woolies, as the aircon is ice cold. A couple next to me brought a thick blanket.

Loadshedding returned with a bang today, but will not affect the Atlantic Seaboard. Only from 21h00 – 5h00 this weekend.

SA Corona Status: 2 909 757 cases 88104 deaths 18 735 187 vaccinations
