Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a long working day, but a fun and food-filled one; for a good Status meeting at Harvest Culture Eaterie, with Dilmah Tea and a slice of carrot cake baked by Chef Marc Redman, served with Vegan meringues filled with cherry gel, a wow; for a quick shopping visit to Hartlief at Garden’s Cente, luckily with no roadworks on the N1 incoming; for getting to Zest Restaurant ahead of a meeting, interviewing owner Chef Pavel for the Home Improver magazine; for meeting Instagrammer Kim Jacobs for a drink and a light bite at Zest, she teaching me some Instagram tricks, and making a Reel for us, I loving my beetroot-cured salmon with cream cheese 🧡; for being happy to be reunited with my cats after being away from home for 9 hours; and for being happy, healthy and free…. but tired. 🙏💙

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, and moved back to level 3 on 16 June, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
