Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 26, 21 April 2020.

Tuesday 21 April 2020, Day 26 of SA Lockdown, Day 37 of SA Corona Virus. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a warm sunny day with an active ocean; for being able to walk to the shops for Essentials, the staff in our local shops being exceptionally friendly, such a lovely change; for my sunshine terrace allowing me to gain some Vit D; for a chat with Stuart Bailey; for Dinsdag Dansdag dancing on Kfm, and its heartbreaking stories about financial devastation of locals, the station and Lotto Star giving away R10000 each to 50 locals desperately needing some money 👏; for the gracious professional manner in which Nomsa received the A & G insurance cancellation of my policy, although she did offer me reduced premiums – not sure why they didn’t do this proactively as other Insurance companies are doing; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

I wrote a Blogpost about the devastating effect the wine export ban is having on the wine industry, another non-understandable regulation, costing it R800 million per month.

Corona Virus Lockdown: SA Wine exports put under lock and key, industry loss of R800 million per month!

I was shocked to see a massive dead dassie, the size of a cat, in the street outside our apartment block when I walked to the shops, and found a large dead rat still lying on a pavement near the SAPS parking area, already seen on Saturday. The dassie had been removed by the time I got back to home. 🙏

This afternoon I started writing new Blogposts for the next two weeks to come, in-between dancing. 💃

I was shocked to receive an email to communicate that my Uber account is permanently deactivated without explanation, after seven years of using the service, having tried to reactivate it in the past three weeks, and requesting feedback. Let me warn Uber users about not being too honest in your Uber driver ratings, as I have been! One would have thought that this is what the company would want. 🥵 But now I’m with Bolt, cheaper too.

I wonder what President Cyril will tell us tonight…… 😱 I’m seeing a lot of scepticism and disbelief as to where all the promised money is coming from…is it China? Speech in full below:

SA Corona Status: 3465 cases 58 deaths 😷😥

The Corona Virus Lockdown, announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, and subsequently extended to 30 April, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
