Wednesday 27 May 2020, Day 27 of Level 4, after 35 days of Level 5. 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for being able to walk this morning, with a light drizzle and then it stopping at 8h00, giving me an hour to get as far as Glen Beach, earning 300 Vitality points for the Cardio workout despite it being my shortest walk since Level 4 started; for bumping into Haakon and Thomas Bauerkämper, who walked back with me as far as my home; for a story I enjoyed writing today; for KitKat and Minsky lying on my bed together for the first time; for enjoying staying home, it being very chilly today, needing a brandy warm-up with dancing 💃💃💃; for finally receiving my Western Cape & PE Cultural Tourist Guiding and Wine Guiding certificates today; for receiving a Discovery Vitality Gameboard play, and exceeding 1000 points, allowing me to buy another pack of raw nuts at DisChem; and for being healthy and fit 🙏💙
On my walk I saw that Pick n Pay was closed, having another infection in the store, a staff member sanitizing the outside window and door. The store reopened late this afternoon. There were a number of garbage bags lying on Victoria Road at Glen Beach, some badly torn. There were a large number of cyclists and runners out, despite the initial rain, but few walkers.
I wanted to research for my Blog how many of the 2019 Eat Out Top 10 Restaurants are offering a Food Delivery Service under their own restaurant name. I found only three!
Corona Virus Lockdown: Increasing number of Eat Out Top 10 Restaurants offering Home Food Delivery!
Hearing that salons will remain closed until Level 1, and Sorbet not offering home waxing kits, it was time to grab a BIC and do my legs, especially as I love wearing shorts and short dresses. 62 days of hair growth … ….. 😱
My Tourist Guiding certificates arrived by email, with a list of instructions of what I need to do to sign paperwork, and to send the correct documents to the provincial Tourism authority, so that I can receive a Guiding number and badge. Very excited to have got so far in four months since starting the course. 🙏 And it was all thanks to the guide-ance of Darren Combrink 🙏🙏🙏💙
I’m very sad now, without KitKat 🐱, his dad Barry Aaron coming to fetch him this afternoon. 😢 He has really crept into my heart, and he taught me so much about non-attachment…. and men. Over a period of six weeks he has made this his second home. Minsky and I will miss him very much ❤️
A lovely long phone chat with Jenny Stephens to end the day ❤️
SA Corona Status : 25937 cases 552 deaths 😷😢
FitBit 15000 steps 10,5 km 👣
Lovemylife❤️
The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, and lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
