Wednesday 30 June 2021, Day 3 of Level 4 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for another day of lots of rain, but very cold; for being well-prepared for our EbbTide AGM; for a walk to Camps Bay to order a Birthday pizza for our Building Manager Henry and to pay some bills; for surviving an explosive AGM; for a refreshing Bakoven walk to let go of the meeting stress, and some laps in our garage, to reach my step goal; for some lovely chats to Stuart Bailey, to one of my clients, and to Jennifer Morris, both Jenny and David being in hospital despite having one vaccination already; for writing in my warm and cosy bed, with my cats on the bed; for two Discovery Gameboard plays; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙

My Blogpost today was about a call from our province to the National Government to provide financial support for all staff currently laid off due to Level 4 regulations.

Western Cape Government requests National Government support for its Hospitality industry, hard hit by Lockdown Level 4!

The AGM resulted in an incredible personal discriminatory attack against me by Rhode Snyman, owner of EbbTide 101, saying that if I don’t like the noise of our building lift and the renting guests I must move into an old age home or a retirement village 😱🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵

I’m so happy for my Harvest Culture Eaterie opening its Deli section in Tyger Falls from tomorrow.

And very happy to hear from an American Tourist Guiding client returning to Cape Town next year, a member of my last guiding group prior to the start of Lockdown last year, wanting more. 👣👣👣

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June  is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
