Wednesday 27 January 2021, Day 31 of Adjusted Level 3, Day 308 of Lockdown 😷.
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a lovely day, a cooler start, and windy most of the day; for Camps Bay resident Alison Smith dropping off a month’s supply of snacks and juices for Carmen and Imtiaz 👏👏👏; for walking with Carmen up Geneva Drive, cleaning steps between Sedgmoor and Park Roads, and then at Maidens Cove and Clifton; for 2 very early morning Gameboard plays, just after midnight, striking a jackpot 750 points in one play alone, allowing me to cash it in for a R100 Pick n Pay voucher ❤️; for a lovely reconnection with George and Maria, luxury accommodation owners across the road from my former guest house, to talk about their Social Media; for a big shop of Sheba cat food tins, on special at Woolies and at Pick n Pay, using my Discovery voucher at the latter store; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
My Blogpost today was about a new secret restaurant which Chef Cheyne Morrisby is opening at Camps Bay Retreat next month
Shhhh it’s a secret: Chef Cheyne Morrisby to open new Himitsu restaurant at Camps Bay Retreat!
My long distance walked today did little for my points score, my heart rate not being exerted enough, despite the 100 Houghton steps, walking halfway up Geneva Drive, and my two hour walk. 😱
The garden gloves I ordered from Loot did not arrive, due for today, and nada CKone !
George and Maria have a most beautiful Grey cat with white paws, a grown up version of Mr G. We connected immediately, he welcoming me outside their home. 😻

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, and extended to 15 February on 11 January, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
