Corona Gratitude ๐
#Gratitude for another day of abundance; for a beautiful warm sunny day, the wind only picking up late this afternoon, and an even more special day lying ahead tomorrow; for a successful litter Beach Clean today, with 20 garbage bags filled, one team of two filling four bags, and winning our The 41 Restaurant prize for most litter collected; for receiving a pot of tea from The 41, with everyone else that participated; for Colleen de Villiers coming to visit, so that we could have lunch at Tindlovu Camps Bay, joined by George Sax for a short while; for saying โgoodbyeโ to Maison J, which is no more, becoming OK JA tomorrow, everything changing except the coffee and tea; for Colleen coming to my home, and I then walking her back to her car; for an amazing Discovery surprise; and for being happy and healthy. ๐๐
We were 16 volunteer litter beach cleaners in Camps Bay, with George Sax, Dirk, Chris, and Brian from the NSRI, and other Camps Bay residents. Liam and Laura Paarman won the prize for two burgers and two drinks for collecting the most litter by far. ๐๐๐
Our meal at Tindlovu Camps Bay was excellent, Colleen and I sharing a mushroom starter. She had Fish and chips and I Frikadelles. We finished off the lunch with an ice cream treat. So lovely to see how full it was. ๐๐๐
It was really sad to hear that Maison J is no more. I managed to buy the last two croissants. Tomorrow the name changes to OK JA, and they will no longer be serving anything made by Jason Bakery, the croissants having been my absolute weakness, and synonymous with the outlet. From tomorrow everything is gluten-free and Vegan. ๐ฑ RIP Maison J. ๐ข๐ข๐ข๐ข๐ข๐ข๐ข
Yesterday I expressed my goal to reach Discovery Diamond status by the end of the year, needing another 8000 points. Today I saw that through non-understandable luck I was gifted 2000 points as well as 12000 points, both having something to do with 2019, shooting me straight into Diamond status! ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐ฃ

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
