Monday 15 February 2021, Day 51 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 346 of Lockdown. 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a lovely day, at 22 C, the wind blowing since this afternoon; for reaching a compromise solution in my second challenge carried over from yesterday; for a walk to Clifton and back, earning 300 Discovery points; for a good Zoom meeting for our Camps Bay Ratepayers Committee meeting, especially happy that the Camps Bay Tidal Pool is one of three to receive a decorative upgrade to educate Pool users about fish and sea life, a request which I had made to Councillor Nicola Jowell soon after we met about one and a half years ago, I wanting a no-litter message included 🙏; for replying to a message from a bully I had received quite some time ago, proud of standing up to him 😡; for being very happy to receive a meeting request later this week 💙; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
My Blogpost today was based on an analysis of the Dineplan reservation system stats of the effect of the alcohol ban and earlier Curfew on restaurant bookings and number of diners last month. No wonder so many restaurants closed down.
Dineplan reveals devastating effect of Level 3 Adjusted Lockdown on Restaurant industry!
In the Committee meeting I was told that requesting others to wear a mask is not breaking a law. In fact the opposite is true, as one has the duty to point out to others that they are breaking the law, and take appropriate action. 😷
Isn’t love wonderful, especially when you hear it from a man ❤️. I could see from his Instagram posts that Eugene van Eck has met a wonderful lady, so I called him to confirm that I was reading this correctly. He was literally bubbling with happiness. So happy for him ❤️. I know him from in my dancing days at La Parada.
PS: What fabulous news that ‘My Octopus Teacher’ has been nominated for an Oscar in the Documentary category. 👏👏👏

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January, and extended but relaxed on 1 February, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
