Sunday 15 November 2020, Day 56 of Level 1, Day 234 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful sunny 21C day, the calm before the storm with four days of wind lying ahead; for sleeping and sleeping, totalling 8 and a half hours, clearly needing a catch up sleep after a busy week, and keeping me away from the fridge; for a litter clean up walk up Houghton Road, up to Ingleside Road, and little lanes nearby, quickly filling up a garbage bag, bringing one along as there are few green bins away from the beach, followed by a walk through Bakoven; for another productive Social Media morning; for seeing my cats lap up the afternoon treat of a Whiskas Jelly pouch, loving them 😻😻; for half of my salad ingredients coming from my veggie garden; for dancing to DJ Fresh on Kfm to complete my steps for the day; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

I feel sucked into the American news broadcasts about the Trump Reality Show. I can’t stop watching, nothing new having happened since the election results were announced, yet the broadcasts continue to report about nothing…. 😱😂😂😂

For those of you who love classical music, do watch violinist Daniel Hope’s second season of Hope @ Home, now focusing on the Next Generation of up and coming musicians, while Germany undergoes its second Lockdown 🎶🎶🎶. Every evening at 20h00 our time, via his Daniel Hope Facebook page. (Daniel was born in Durban, and is the son of renowned author Christopher Hope who lives in Joburg).

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
