Sunday 2 August 2020, Day 63 of Level 3, after 66 days of Levels 5 and 4. 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for another beautiful 23C day, another sunny beach day in Camps Bay, the traffic snaking through from the Hout Bay side; for a morning coffee/tea and croissant meet with Lynne Gordon at Maison J, sitting in the sun across the road, and for meeting her friend Tourist Guide and Uber driver Brandon Platt, whom I had wanted to meet, only knowing him from Facebook; for two further Camps Bay walks, one a shopping one, mainly for cat food, and because I forgot the packet at Absolute Pets from talking too much, I had to go back again to fetch it, an easy way to gain more steps; for a peaceful rest at my favorite Bench at the Tidal Pool; for the Beethoven concert from Beethoven House in Bonn by Daniel Hope of Hope@Home on Tour, his very last one of 70 he has done during Lockdown, an amazing treat; for my Alex helping me to get my CV finalized, the first I’ve written in 30 years 😱; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
Camps Bay was full of litter today, some leftover from the busy afternoon yesterday, and it will probably look like this tomorrow too. The green bin nearest Col’Cacchio was full of their pizza boxes, the litter literally overflowing onto the pavement. People seem to buy them and take them to the beach. 🍕
I met up with Lynne at the end of my walk at the Tidal Pool. She had met new people there, what a good networker she is.
No cat panics today. 🙏
Hard to believe that we go back into winter in the coming week, starting with Full Moon rain tomorrow. ☔️
I cannot believe how many cars are driving through Camps Bay without license plates… no Traffic or Law Enforcement here today. 🥵
SA Corona Status 511485 cases 8366 deaths 😷😢

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, and lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
