Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 7 of Level 3, 7 June 2020.

Sunday 7 June 2020, Day 7 of Level 3, after 66 days at Levels 4 and 5. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another glorious sunny day 🌞; for doing a walk with Jenny Stephens to First Beach Clifton and back this morning, spending three hours of chatting time together, including a coffee and croissant 🥐 stop at Maison J; for being so calm and peaceful; for getting over another admin hurdle, compiling all the certificates that need to be sent to the Western Cape Tourism Department with a detailed form to be completed that I had to search information for, so that I can receive my Tourist Guide Badge; for a lovely peaceful walk through Bakoven; and for feeling happy and healthy. 🙏💙

There was no rush this morning, waiting for Jenny Stephens to arrive. There weren’t as many exercisers as I experienced on weekends last month, with our new all-day spread-out time. We saw swimmers and scuba divers in the Tidal Pool, spear fishermen, beach walkers, and a host of Glen Beach surfers…. 😱.

Jenny has never seen me on Camps Bay ‘duty’, rescuing a Pick n Pay trolley by returning it to the store, and picking up disgusting looking and smelling litter in Clifton. Minsky was a lucky girl, Jenny bringing left over balls of wool, getting entangled in them, loving playing with them. ❤️

Lots of locals were out and about today, enjoying this beautiful day.

If I see one more person sharing my plagiarized list of Restaurant closures on Facebook I will scream….. especially with the sarcy comments to go with it, as to the ‘mistakes’ made, information being ‘out of date’, etc because they did not see my complete Blogpost. One person posting my plagiarized list had it shared close to 300 times alone! It is the second Facebook post of mine that has been plagiarized this week, changed, with no credit to the publication it came from nor that it came from my Facebook Page. We all learnt how to credit the writer of a piece of information at school already… 😱

Here is the complete Restaurant post, from which the list of Restaurant Closures was butchered and circulated without my permission 😡😡😡

Restaurants in Lockdown: some have closed down, others have moved towards Food Delivery & Collection, and Alcohol Sales, as Restaurant Sit-Down remains prohibited, June 2020.

A beautiful sunset tonight ❤️

SA Corona Status : 48285 cases 998 deaths 😷😥

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, and lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
