Sunday 26 July 2020, Day 56 of Level 3, after 66 days of Levels 5 and 4. 😷

Corona Gratitude šŸ™

#Grateful for the rain which fell overnight, making it a cooler 17C day today, oddly with a summer South- Easter, but very nippy, especially now as the sun has set; for two tea dates today, with Lynne Gordon at La Belle Bistro & Bakery, and then with Mahmud Fredericks at Maison J; for a walk through Camps Bay, and through Bakoven this afternoon; for another fabulous concert with Daniel Hope of Hope@Home on Tour with Salut Salon, performing from Potsdam; for doing my Accounting for June and most of July, proud of how frugal I have become; for ending the day with a lovely chat with Charlotte Zachariou in Knysna; Ā and for being happy and healthy. šŸ™šŸ’™ Continue reading →

Sunday 7 June 2020, Day 7 of Level 3, after 66 days at Levels 4 and 5. 😷

Corona Gratitude šŸ™

#Grateful for another glorious sunny day šŸŒž; for doing a walk with Jenny Stephens to First Beach Clifton and back this morning, spending three hours of chatting time together, including a coffee and croissant 🄐 stop at Maison J; for being so calm and peaceful; for getting over another admin hurdle, compiling all the certificates that need to be sent to the Western Cape Tourism Department with a detailed form to be completed that I had to search information for, so that I can receive my Tourist Guide Badge; for a lovely peaceful walk through Bakoven; and for feeling happy and healthy. šŸ™šŸ’™ Continue reading →

Sweet Service Award goes to SA Tourism; Sour Service Award goes to WebAfrica!

 

The Sweet Service Award goes to South African Tourism, for its impactful and emotive commercials it created, aimed at future tourists to our country. It is entitled ā€˜Don’t Travel now. So you can travel later’. Ā One commercial uses Sport images and analogies to show how determined our country is in winning, not only in sports such as cricket and swimming, but also as a nation. Another shows the beauty of our country, including Bo-Kaap, flower sellers in Cape Town, Camps Bay with the backdrop of the Twelve Apostles, and Johannesburg, inviting locals to travel in our own country as soon as travel is allowed again .
