Corona Gratitude š
#grateful for another fabulous day, cannot believe my fabulous luck; for a beautiful sunny day with a slight chill; for fetching another Tourist Guiding certificate, finally available after more than a year; for meeting my newest client Harvest Culture in the Tyger Falls Waterfront, owned by Dale Schreuder, father of Chef Matt of Homespun, who connected the two of us, celebrating our collaboration with a delicious lunch, joined by Chef Matt and his partner Elri; for getting home safely after a massive traffic jam on the N1, due to roadworks with only one lane open; for a refreshing Camps Bay walk up to the Tidal Pool; for being happy to see my cats again; for fabulous Kfm Blokparty music; and for being happy, healthy, and free. šš
It was very weird to fetch not only my Tourist Guiding certificate this morning, but also that of Martin Koch, our classmate who passed away early this week, to give to his brother Simon Koch. #goosebumps
I have the highest regard for Chef Matt of Homespun, who runs a superb fine-dining restaurant in Blouberg, and is opening a new Homespun at the Andros on 18 June. As we spoke about his new restaurant earlier this week, I told him about my new Communications career. Immediately he told me that heād like to gift my service to his father, Dale of the well-known former Daleās Black Angus, who opened Harvest Culture at Tyger Falls earlier this week. We had the first lunch served by the restaurant, excellent quality and presentation, today. It was a working meeting too, and Iāve opened its Instagram account already. Itās wonderful to receive so much trust from a brand new client. And so exciting to take a new restaurant by the hand, I also learning. Iām still pinching myself about my luck in signing up four restaurant clients in the past 6 months. Iām posting some of our shared lunch pics.
Iām looking forward to watching the Eurovision Song Contest Final from 21h00 tonight. šæĀ PS Won by Italy, a heavy rock song, but my favorite was ViolĆ , the France entry.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, Ā extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
