The Sweet Service Award goes to Harck & Heart, a company baking and selling gingerbread biscuits, Christmas tree ornaments, and Gingerbread house kits, for their easy online ordering system, and for their delivery on the day that I chose, with a follow-up email to confirm the delivery. The box of Christmas gingerbread goodies was beautifully presented and safely packaged, to prevent any damage during delivery.
The Sour Service Award goes to Clicks branches Glengariff Road and Waterfront, when I went to them for a Discovery Health Check! The Sister doing my Health Check at Clicks Glengariff did not come to work, and had not written her appointments into the online appointment book, so no one called me to cancel! The head pharmacist was kind enough, even though it took a long time, to call their Waterfront branch to check if I could go there, which worked. At the Waterfront branch I saw a Sister and her office door was open, so she sent me to the pharmacy counters, to register with Clicks so that they can be paid by Discovery. This took about half an hour, standing in the queue with other pharmacy customers and few staff on duty. Sister Monika was tough, telling me not to speak while she did the blood pressure test, there being something wrong with the blood pressure band, only having one in stock. I have never felt a strap so tight on my arm, and have never been told that I have hypertension. Most Sisters measure it a few times, as it is the biggest potential loss of Discovery points. Sister was not happy with Discovery points chasers, I clearly being one of them…..Annoyingly she could not enter my Health Check details onto the Discovery website, making it my problem to get the results to Discovery.
