*   M-Net’s channel location will change on 5 August, as Cape TV will be broadcasting from it. Multichoice is paying for installers to visit each affected Cape Town subscriber for the decoder to be adjusted, at its expense.

*   If membership of FEDHASA Cape is an indicator, then the hospitality business is going through tough times, their membership numbers declining due to businesses closing down or changing ownership, reports Travel News Weekly?

*   A Wine Vision Conference on ‘Inspiring change to create a sustainable global wine business‘, to be held in London from 18 – 20 November, features top wine estate owners and wine writers, including our local Mike Ratcliffe of Warwick, Bruce Jack of Flagstone, Carina Gous of Distell, Tim Rands of Vinimark, and Khuselo Mouta of Aubergine.

*   The Manhattan Transfer performs in South Africa for the first time, and their Cape Town concert will be held at the GrandWest Arena on 3 September.

*   The Mayor of Cape Town, Patricia de Lille, officially opened the Green Point Track with Sea Point/Green Point/Camps Bay Councillor Bev Schafer this weekend, across the road from the Cape Town Stadium and McDonalds. It has interesting metal sculptures by Artvark, depicting the activities to take place inside one surmises (there is no information available via Google yet), including athletics, cricket, rugby, soccer, church gatherings, and Minstrel troupe parades.
