Saturday 9 May 2020, Day 9 of Level 4, after 35 days at Level 5 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another spectacular 24C day, how lucky we are, and how good for one’s soul and spirit; for going to exercise earlier, and therefore walking further, up to First Beach in Clifton, quickly getting to 10000 steps by the time I returned home; for having a relaxed day after the energetic start to the day; for spoiling myself with a pizza delivery from Col’Cacchio Camps Bay, superbly executed hygiene and ordering wise; loving the Vit D sun therapy on my terrace; for yet another lovely sunset; and for feeling happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Sunday 26 April, Day 42 of SA Corona Virus, Day 31 of SA Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another warm, even humid, day, feeling warmer than the 22 C forecast, sweating while I dance/walk to Kfm; for feeling very energetic today, in writing an unplanned BIogpost, and creating a new Facebook page; for Petra Renate Quinlan agreeing to make some cloth masks for me from some leftover scarves, which are compulsory from Friday; for good old-fashioned calls with friends; for a friendly Bay Response Officer Saliem stopping outside our block and asking if I am alright when I was dancing on the terrace; and for feeling happy and healthy 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Surprising was to read that our country sent a plane load of medical materials to Havana last week, including infra-red thermometers, gloves, masks, and hospital bed covers. The gift to Cuba was described as ‘… not a donation, but a modest gesture of brotherhood.…’! Continue reading →

Saturday 25 April 2020, Day 41 of SA Corona Virus, Day 30 of SA Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful 26 C day, without a breath of wind; for receiving greater clarity about which businesses are allowed to operate, and which new restrictions lie ahead for us from 1 May; that outside exercise is allowed from next Friday; that I could do a shopping trip by car, only the second one in a month, with excellent service; for a lovely sunny Vit D snooze on the terrace this afternoon; for feeling good after a hair wash and wearing a dress for the shopping outing 😂; for dancing to Kfm; for feeling happy for the restaurant industry in being allowed to do Take-Away deliveries; and for feeling healthy and happy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
