Friday 1 October 2021, Day 1 of Level 1, Vegetarian Day.
# grateful for a wonderful day, the new month having a good feeling, and being in Level 1 is a bonus; for a sunny but windy day, but not too strong to do a walk to Pick n Pay; for the fabulous day, after 4 months of hell, that Franklin the Nigerian tenant of Sacha Jack’s apartment 201 has checked out of our building, as has the Nigerian in 202, leaving only one, with a new American lady arriving today, staying for 4 months, the two of us sure to sort out noise disturbances, the lift not having moved Continue reading →

Anatoli Mediterranean Restaurant has introduced a new Tasting Menu, offering 5 courses at R195. It offers a Meat/Fish Menu, as well as a Vegetarian alternative.
Long-established Anatoli serves generous portions of authentic Mediterranean foods, including hot and cold magic Mezzes, aromatic main courses, and delicious desserts, all beautifully presented. One can end off one’s Mediterranean dinner with a Turkish coffee and Raki, a Turkish Aperitif.

It was my first visit to the Hotel. The Hotel has an old-world charm and dates back to 1908. It was designed by renowned Sir Herbert Baker. It has 15 rooms. Parking is available on the propperty. It has a delightful Champagne Bar. Continue reading →
