#Grateful for lovely rain overnight and this morning; for an energetic walk and litter pick up this morning with Imtiaz, challenged by 200 steps between Victoria Road and Kloof Road with lots of litter, making up my steps goal for the day; for a fabulous sleep this afternoon; for Minsky coming home early this morning, after having galavanted somewhere in the night, so scared that something had happened to her; for a clean up at the Tidal Pool late this afternoon, Bakoven brothers Marc and Finn joining us too; and for being happy and healthy. đđ Continue reading →
The Sweet Service Award goes to Camps Bay Law Enforcement and its acting head Officer Ivor Ramsay, a breath of fresh air who landed in our suburb during the start of Lockdown. The office has been very poorly manned in the two years since I returned to live in Camps Bay, and one rarely sees any officers walking the Promenade, which means that illegal trading, begging, unlicensed vehicles, alcohol consumption on the beaches, and littering go unchecked. A homeless person Michael Shange, who has been aggressively begging locals for contributions to his âBeach cleaningâ activity in Camps Bay in the past two months, but just taking the money and not cleaning, and has been seen walking along Camps Bay intoxicated, is being dealt with by the office, following a number of harassment complaints it has received from locals.
