Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful wind free day; for an energetic walk with Imtiaz to clean up at the Caltex Garage on Rontree Road; for getting a noise problem in our sewerage pipes in our building fixed; for a Zoom meeting I was invited to by Tania Harrison about the impact of Lockdown on brand distribution and pricing; for an afternoon nap after a late night of Instagramming and having to redo my Facebook post after it crashed; for another walk with Imtiaz at the Tidal Pool and Promenade, seeing umbrellas everywhere, and so happy to see Law Enforcement Officer Ivor Ramsay back in Camps Bay for a visit; for being able to digest, pardon the pun, an absolutely generous box of organic vegetables, herbs and eggs which Rosy Krämer-Schrott of The Green Goddess had delivered to me; for being spared Loadshedding today; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for an amazing day, with another new prospective Communications client in Ladies’ retail clothing requesting me to see her, when she is next in Cape Town in two weeks’ time , needing to pinch myself ❤️; for the wonderful support of Vivian Warby, cheering me on in this newfound luck; for a smooth flowing writing morning; for a blustery walk to Clifton and back with a 200 point Discovery reward; for a late afternoon snooze after a restless night, with toe pain, a first 😱; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Camps Bay Restaurants operating over the Festive Season, many are open right through!

With beaches now allowed to be open until 19h00,  Camps Bay Restaurants are likely to be busy for the next two weeks.

Not all restaurants will be open on Christmas Day or on 1 January, so I have compiled a list of the Camps Bay restaurants, with their trading days.

We wish you and your family safe travelling and beach enjoyment.

Tuesday 22 December 2020, Day 93 of Level 1, Day 272 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a most beautiful day at close to 30C, with very little wind this afternoon even though the mountains were shrouded in clouds; for an early trip to the Waterfront, where Brian Van Hansen took some pics after he’d finished playing the piano for breakfast at The Table Bay Hotel, which I needed for my Tour Guiding Operator in Canada; for Brian accompanying me in running through the Waterfront, doing last minute shopping and chores before Christmas; for the Waterfront having a Covid Marshall, addressing people not wearing their masks; for getting my car wheel pressure indicator reset, still not being able to do it after 5 years, Hennie Kriel having spoilt me at Audi; for spoiling myself with a Dairy Den ice cream; for a walk through a reasonably busy Camps Bay; for a special call with Barbara Lenhard, not having spoken since she and Florian returned to Germany 8 months ago, and hoping to fly to Cape Town tomorrow evening; for having dinner at Utopia with Vivian Warby this evening; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
