Homespun by Matt offers electrifying Tasting Menu, Fun Dining Fine Dining at excellent value!

Three weeks ago I was privileged to experience the new Homespun by Matt Secret Supper Club, which is offered on Monday nights, a dinner of 15 courses which I was blown away by, it being of an international standard, making Homespun one of our country’s top restaurants. Last week I returned  with my friend Stuart Bailey, to experience the 7-course Tasting Menu which is served from Tuesday to Saturday evenings, finding it to be a dinner at an extremely generous cost, and to be another evening of Fun Dining Fine Dining.

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a warmer day today, at 23C, lovely to be in the sunshine; for being able to write this morning despite numerous noise disturbances caused by workmen replacing an outside aircon unit alongside my apartment for the apartment above me, with lots of other noisy workmen on site too; for a longer walk up to 4th Beach Clifton, for which I was well rewarded by Discovery; for two Discovery Gameboard plays, allowing me to buy two Pick n Pay shopping vouchers with my accumulated Discovery Miles; for writing a proposal for a prospective client, for which I am holding thumbs; for a treat at Maison J; for shopping at Hartlief, Clicks, and Pick n Pay at the Garden Centre; for being spoilt a second time in two weeks by Chef Matt of Homespun in Blouberg, who invited me to try their regular Tasting Menu with a wine pairing, sharing this spoil with Stuart Bailey; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Grateful for a beautiful day; for a quick walk this morning to get some steps, energizing me to write my Blogpost when I got back home; for being well organized in leaving for a Roadtrip, with my school friend Jenny Stephens ; for meeting Chef and Restaurateur Prim Reddy Chapter at her new Indian Chapter in Blouberg for the first time; for a lovely drive to Darling, visiting Evita se Perron, Darling Brew, and had tea and scones at The Marmalade Cat; for staying over at Waylands Guesthouse on the Waylands Farm, seeing flowers on the way already; for walking the last steps of the day on the Farm; for ending a lovely day with a Braai; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for the arrival of Spring, finally, what a beauty of a day at 21C 🌞; for a glorious day; for meeting Johnny Nortje and walking to Camps Bay, dropping off a sample pack of Dilmah Teas at Firefly Café, to try out and to use until they get their tea order delivered; for a fabulous lunch with Johnny at Tindlovu Restaurant in the Camps Bay Promenade, meeting up with Chef Chris Papayannes (whom I’d last seen at the Newton Johnson Restaurant about 6 years ago), and now Group GM of the 10 Tindlovu restaurants around the country; for a drive with Johnny to Blouberg, walking along the Beachfront; for a second Camps Bay walk, walking with Lisa Hayden whom I bumped into when I was actually heading for Bakoven; for the City of Cape Town having spare electricity, which prevented us from being Loadshed at 18h00, coming off scot-free today; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
