Friday 2 April 2021, Good Friday, Day 33 of Level 1.

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing day, spending a large part of it sleeping, almost 10 hours in three parts since midnight, being in movie mode; for a lovely refreshing slow walk with Vivian Warby, with a coffee/tea break at Bootlegger in Bakoven, they serving delicious EnMasse Earl Grey tea, and for her Easter gift of a box of Smarties, for my movie time tonight; for a continuation of my walk to Camps Bay after Viv had gone back home, seeing Ashleigh Fleming swim at Bali Bay Beach, and having a surprise chat with the Swiss renter above me; for lovely music on Kfm now; for a perfect blood sugar level of 5,6; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Tuesday 30 March 2021, Day 28 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a well organized smooth-flowing day, being away from home from 7h30 – 17h30, taking Earl Grey to be sterilized at the vet in Diepriver; for getting my day’s writing done at Knead at the Constantia Enporium, spoilt by Ollie with pots of tea and a hot cross bun, their Wifi working perfectly; for a fabulous shop at Checkers at the mall, with lovely efficient and friendly cashiers, compared to Sea Point, and good offers and discounts 😱; for an eating drive to Muizenberg, all three my visits disappointing; for a lovely tea and apple tart treat at the home of Rose Klein and Werner, also in Diepriver, from where I fetched Earl Grey, looking good and not having any wounds or bandages, happy to see each other again 😻; for a very quick walk to Camps Bay and back, such good cardio that I earned 300 Discovery points; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Camps Bay Restaurants operating over the Festive Season, many are open right through!

With beaches now allowed to be open until 19h00,  Camps Bay Restaurants are likely to be busy for the next two weeks.

Not all restaurants will be open on Christmas Day or on 1 January, so I have compiled a list of the Camps Bay restaurants, with their trading days.

We wish you and your family safe travelling and beach enjoyment.

Sunday 1 November 2020, Day 42 of Level 1, Day 220 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a fabulous day, the warmest this summer at 26C, and up to 30C in town; for the fire at the foot of Table Mountain being extinguished this morning; for a walk up to Clifton 4th Beach, Victoria Road between Clifton and Camps Bay fully parked by Beachgoers; for a catch-up get-together with Vivian Warby at Bootleggers Bakoven, keeping it healthy with pressed fruit and vegetable juices; for missing the worst of the traffic when popping in to town, at Utopia and Peppertree Café; for a VitD snooze on the terrace; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
