#grateful for a cold overcast day turning into a sunny warmer day, but only 17C; for an early start to the day, having to be at Zest at 10h00, breakfasting with Gary Arendse, Department Manager at Woolworhs Piazza da Luz, trying a new bagel and smoked salmon dish; for meeting Lynne Rattray Mathias, a member of the International Women’s Club, who came to lunch at Zest with 23 fellow members, she knowing all about me even though we had never met, and she will invite me to their next lunch 💙; for seeing Tessa Booysen after a long absence, she and Alta Auret lunching at Continue reading →

The Sweet Service Award goes to Camps Bay Hardware and its owner Jared Stein, who organised and delivered to my home a tap I needed for the water supply to my pool within one hour of enquiring about it, an item he had to collect from elsewhere.  His service is community-driven, and always fantastic. Grateful for a storm day with rain and sun, rain and sun; for a peaceful sleep; for first reaction to my Door Lock moves, the Fire inspector making a first visit; for two Discovery Gameboard plays; for a busy working day; for a walk to the Camps Bay Hardware store, rewarded with a short-lived rainbow; for being warm on such a cold day, the cats even preferring to be inside 😻😻; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a rainy and sunny day, colder today at 14 C but reasonable; for a peaceful sleep, waking early and starting to work; for a lot of emails to and from Sandak-Lewin, showing them that I have had enough; for finishing off the legal dispute communications, happy that its done; for posting my SwitchBitch book to Gloria Janse van Rensburg and buying sisal rope from Camps Bay Hardware, always with fabulous service, to bring my cats’ scratch tree back to its original condition, it having been destroyed in the past year that Minsky has been here, the cats being very happy 😻😻; for a refreshing walk to Bakoven, it being cold now; for great Dansdag music 💃💃💃 on Kfm; and for being happy, healthy and free 🙏💙 Continue reading →
