Corona Gratitude šŸ™

#Grateful for a fabulous day, peaceful, calm, with beautiful weather and no wind, and super organized; for having the chutzpah to address an email to the Sandak-Lewin MD very early this morning and receiving the most surprising reply almost immediately šŸ‘; for an easy-flowing Blogpost; for collecting my poppy seed rolls at Dinkel Bakery; for buying some German treats at Hartlief, for paying my Rates & Taxes at Pick n Pay, and some other groceries at Woolies, paying my last Vodacom account ever, all at the Garden’s Centre, for no Loadshedding when we were meant to have it from 8h00; for a lovely Client status meeting at Utopia, getting excited for a very busy weekend lying ahead for the restaurant; for a Camps Bay walk, asking a bride if I may photograph her, she knowing me from my Straatwerker cleaning more than a year ago, her name being Sarah from Seeff Atlantic Seaboard; for reaching 10200 Discovery points for this year to date, only needing another 40000 points to get to Diamond status; for only paying R5 for a 2 kg bag of Royal Canin kitten food with free delivery by Pet Heaven expected on Monday, thanks to Elize Skriker; for an ice cream treat and dancing at The Dairy Den; and for being happy and healthy. šŸ™šŸ’™ Continue reading →

Friday 22 January 2021, Day 26 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 303 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude šŸ™

#Grateful for a most interesting unpredictable day, turning out fabulously; for an early walk, loving these before writing time; for an organized morning, meeting my time deadlines; for a quick meeting with my Cleaning Team; for a fabulous outcome of a meeting, securing new funding for the next three months for my cleaning team; for receiving an apology from the Sandak-Lewin CEO Carl Smit for a ten day delay in sending Henry a Petty Cash top-up, after I gave his company a blast for its tardiness; for meeting the lovely Marlene’ Eggersglusz van Duuren, both having German roots and family connections with Hannover, and lots more in common, who came to buy my SwitchBitch Book3; for a Tidal Pool clean up walk with my Cleaning Team; for reaching my first 5000 Discovery points of the year, 45000 to go to get to Diamond; and for being happy and healthy. šŸ™šŸ’™ Continue reading →

Sweet Service Award goes to FitBit; Sour Service Award goes to Sandak-Lewin!

The Sweet Service Award goes to FitBit, for their fantastic service when I handed in my Charge 3 tracker at Sportsman’s Warehouse at The Point in Sea Point for repair. The staff at the outlet told me that it would cost R100 to courier my tracker to the repair centre in Johannesburg, and that I would be liable for the repair cost, without being able to quote for it. It would take weeks to do the repair, given that fewer staff were working. Ā I was very reluctant to send my tracker off, after hearing this information. But when the FitBit was really playing up, no longer measuring all my steps, and not measuring my heart rate at all, I had no option but to hand it in at the outlet, as a last resort. Ten days later I received a Sms, informing me that I could collect the tracker at Sportsman’s Warehouse at no charge, I went there immediately. I was delighted to be told that I could select a new tracker, and that the upgraded FitBit Charge 4 costs the same as the Charge 3, so I could go home with a brand new upgraded FitBit, which Steve from Sportsman’s Warehouse synced with the FirBit App on my phone.Ā  Continue reading →

Sweet Service Award goes to KONG; Sour Service Award goes to Sandak-Lewin!

The Sweet Service Award goes to KONG Bar & Grill in De Waterkant, where I have watched the last two Rugby World Cup matches, have eaten a dinner, and went to dance yesterday evening. The service by the managers Dave Mitchell and Grant Grobbellar is beyond standard, always friendly, and checking that all is in order. Their chefs are amazing and last night sent a complimentary plate of Valrhona chocolate and beetroot as well as a cinnamon ice creams to where I was dancing upstairs, knowing my weakness for ice cream.
