Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a cool misty drizzly day, continuing into tomorrow, after the heat of the summer days of the past weeks ☔️; for a meeting with Ryan Rudy to discuss a collaboration with Community Stewards to assist in cleaning Camps Bay; for being able to see far so well with my right eye, when I removed my Perspex patch, everything looking so bright and clear, having to add eye drops four times a day; for a productive work morning; for only one Discovery Gameboard play; for a check up Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a day that just got better and better, starting with a 7 1/2 hour continuous sleep; for it being nice and warm at 19C, a tiny taste of summer after the cold weeks; for a hard-working morning preparing for two Status meetings; for a Bakoven walk; for two excellent meetings, at Newkings Boutique Hotel and at Zest; for being able to get a gap at my dentist to fix my implant, which came loose again, without being charged ❤️; for a visit to Chocolate by Tomes in the Waterfront Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a sunny day, feeling cooler than 26C due to it being windy from this morning onwards; for getting my writing done in a shorter time than normal; for spreading the dishwashing of yesterday throughout the day; for collecting sandwiches and coldrinks from The Bay Hotel for the Christmas function which was held for the Camps Bay Community Stewards (car guards and my cleaners), borrowing a Pick n Pay trolley to transport them to the SAPS parking area; for trying out the new Crème de la Crème Gourmet Dessert outlet in Camps Bay, which has just opened; for collecting a plaque from Pagliari engravers in town for my client, produced efficiently and just in time before their Festive Season closing tomorrow, and dropping it off; for a spontaneous drop-in at Dinkel Bakery, which still had some poppyseed rolls for me; for both lanes of Geneva Drive having reopened  in Camps Bay; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Friday 18 December 2020, Day 89 of Level 1, Day 268 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a beautiful 26C day; for the fire being brought under control in the early hours of this morning; for the forecast South Easter not having arrived (yet); for a busy working morning; for some excellent news, but not shareable ❤️❤️❤️; for a good beach walk with my Team of Cleaners, the beach not being very busy and there being little litter, my team members still on a high from their praise on Wednesday; for managing to organise refreshment and food donations from Pick n Pay and the Bay Hotel, respectively, in Camps Bay for a Christmas spoil of the 38 Community Stewards (car guards and my cleaners) planned for Monday, made so easy by both saying yes, I not being a good ‘beggar’; for a good walk through Bakoven; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
