Friday 18 December 2020, Day 89 of Level 1, Day 268 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a beautiful 26C day; for the fire being brought under control in the early hours of this morning; for the forecast South Easter not having arrived (yet); for a busy working morning; for some excellent news, but not shareable ❤️❤️❤️; for a good beach walk with my Team of Cleaners, the beach not being very busy and there being little litter, my team members still on a high from their praise on Wednesday; for managing to organise refreshment and food donations from Pick n Pay and the Bay Hotel, respectively, in Camps Bay for a Christmas spoil of the 38 Community Stewards (car guards and my cleaners) planned for Monday, made so easy by both saying yes, I not being a good ‘beggar’; for a good walk through Bakoven; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

My Sweet Service Award went to The Lawns at The Rotunda in Camps Bay, and the Sour Service Award went to Telkom!

Sweet Service Award goes to The Lawns; Sour Service Award goes to TELKOM!

It was an uncomfortable barefoot walk on the beach, looking for litter, not having walked on it for years, not as soft as it looks.

I am still stunned about how quiet Camps Bay and Bakoven are, but I’m not complaining😱

Minsky has been a good girl today, staying close to home. 😻😻😻

Such a lovely lively Hope @ Home concert with the Airlettes performing in the living room of Daniel Hope in Berlin. ❤️🎼🇩🇪 And now watching the concert of last night, in honour of Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday, broadcast from the Opera Bonn. Narrated by Daniel Hope, conducted by Daniel Barenboim. 🎼⭐️❤️

The day is just getting better: my client received a fantastic review on the Good, Bad, and Nasty Facebook Group.

And Minister Cele and the City of Cape Town reached an out-of-court settlement, allowing film shoots to continue in Camps Bay and Cape Town.

Have Cape Town’s beaches become a political beach ball, Film shoots cancelled by Police Minister Bheki Cele! Beaches quieter than expected!

SA Corona Status 901538 cases 24285 deaths 😷😢

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
