#Grateful for a fabulous cool rain day ☔️, it still being overcast and cool, yet I’m warmed up from my late afternoon walk; for a very busy morning in getting all my admin and writing work done; for a good meeting at Anatoli, exciting to get the Dineplan restaurant reservation system installed and soon ready to roll; for a power walk, with 20 minutes of Cardio and earning 300 Discovery points, lovely weather for walking; for two Gameboard Discovery plays, enabling me to buy a R100 Pick n Pay voucher; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Monday 15 February 2021, Day 51 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 346 of Lockdown. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely day, at 22 C, the wind blowing since this afternoon; for reaching a compromise solution in my second challenge carried over from yesterday; for a walk to Clifton and back, earning 300 Discovery points; for a good Zoom meeting for our Camps Bay Ratepayers Committee meeting, especially happy that the Camps Bay Tidal Pool is one of three to receive a decorative upgrade to educate Pool users about fish and sea life, a request which I had made to Councillor Nicola Jowell soon after we met about one and a half years ago, I wanting a no-litter message included 🙏; for replying to a message from a bully I had received quite some time ago, proud of standing up to him 😡; for being very happy to receive a meeting request later this week 💙; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Dineplan reveals devastating effect of Level 3 Adjusted Lockdown on Restaurant industry!

 

An analysis of the bookings in the restaurant client base of Dineplan, a restaurant reservation system used by about 1500 restaurants in the country, reveals that the introduction of Level 3 Adjusted Lockdown regulations in late December 2020 affected the restaurant industry dramatically.

Not only could the restaurant industry no longer sell alcohol, and the Curfew reducing the operating hours of restaurants, but the number of diners dropped dramatically too. This led to a number of restaurants having to close its doors, either temporarily or permanently.  Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for an amazing day with many surprises; for Imtiaz coming to work; for a leg wax at the Skin Studio in Sea Point, Stephanie always being gentle 💙; for a lovely hair cut and colour by Isabella Page Morgan 💙; for getting to my lunch date with Gary Peterson at the new Noah Café almost on time, spending a most wonderful lunch and afternoon there 💙; for collecting the last three boxes of figs from Peppertree Café 💙; for a quick clean up walk with Imtiaz, but we were far too early as the picnickers were still in Camps Bay in full force, so I’ll go and do the rest tomorrow after the rain; for a fabulous evening at Utopia, lovely to see that it was so full that reservations were closed for this evening; for a surprise gift pack of wines and a gin standing outside my door from the lovely UK clients staying in one of the apartments in our building, with whom I had such a lovely restaurant chat two days ago, who had to return to the UK today due to a serious illness of his brother-in-law; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
